On June 29th join us for our brewers dinner at the Steam Plant Grill. We are showcasing 6 microbrews from Coeur d’ Alene Brewing Company and a five course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Barry Matthews and Sous Chef Brandon Knutson. Head brewer Laurie Kraus will be on hand to talk about the ales and take you on a tour of the brewery. Company President, Gage Stromberg, will discuss the 100 year history of Coeur d' Alene Brewing Company as well as the status of the beer industry as a whole.
For our first course we will be serving salmon cakes made with wild Alaskan salmon, shallots, garlic, organic eggs fresh herbs and ciabatta breading. Served on a bed of organic micro greens with a red pepper rouille and lemons. This will be paired with Golden Ale. Our second course is a deconstructed salad consisting of hearts of romaine, Pt. Reyes blue cheese, grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, pepperoncini and lemon basil dressing. This will be paired with our Honeymoon Wheat Ale. Our third course will be a wild mushroom and fresh asparagus soup made with a Pullman Porter Ale scented veal stock. Garnished with chevre cheese and fresh chives. It is paired with Lakeside British Ale. Our fourth course is a Berkshire heirloom pork prime rib brined in Scottish Ale with fresh herbs. Slow roasted and cut into chops. Laced with a maple syrup and balsamic vinegar glaze. Presented with a classic side dish of Anna potatoes and caramelized seasonal vegetables. This course will feature our Vanilla Bourbon Stout. Our dessert course features Bosc pears poached in spiced zinfandel wine with French vanilla ice cream. Complimented with our Huckleberry ale. Our sixth microbrew is our seasonal Barley Wine.
