PLAY BALL!!! That's right, it's finally opening day for Major League Baseball and what better way to kick things off than with the heated rivalry of the Yankees and Red Sox? Our Executive Chef, Barry Matthews, is an avid Yankee fan because he is just like the Babe. That's right, he loves his cigars, booze and good food, too! To celebrate, Barry is putting together some Stadium dogs with all the fixins...ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut and onions. For those of you wearing Yankee hats or shirts, the dogs are free. You Red Sox fans may not want to stop in, but we'll give you a free dog too, if you are brave enough to face Barry. We'll roll the dogs out at 4:00pm at game time and leave them out as long as supplies last or until the game is over, whichever one comes first. Dogs are available in the lounge only.

Paris-Roubaix

This year, we will again be opening early at 2:00pm on Sunday, April 11th to allow viewing of the grueling Paris-Roubaix in our lounge. We will offer a special menu for this event as well and, we have cleared it with the WSLCB to allow minors to join us in the lounge during the race, so this is definitely family-friendly. Hope to see you here!

Community Notes

Check us out next Saturday at the downtown library pouring beer and talking story at the library's annual You Can't Do That in the Library. We'll be pouring our very own Centennial Pale Ale and Huckleberry Ale, listening to the fantastic music of Two Slim and the Taildraggers and helping to raise a little money for the Spokane Public Library Foundation. Cost of the tickets are $50, doors open at 7:00pm and beer starts flowing at 7:01pm! 

New Happy Hour

Starting Monday, April 12th, we will be rolling out a new Happy hour program. Each day we will be featuring different specials like Sliders and Pitchers, Tamales, Hot Wings, Tap a Keg, Brats and Beer and 1/2 Priced Appetizers. We'll stil be offering amazing prices on our own hand-crafted brews, glasses of wines and some of our liquor. We'll have more details next week as we get closer to launching our new Happy Hour.

Military and Educator Discount

The Steam Plant Grill is proud to announce a special discount to a couple of special groups of people, our brave military and wonderful educators. Bring in your ID showing you are in the military or an educator and we'll pour you a 23-ounce glass of Coeur d'Alene Brewing Company goodness and only charge you for the first 16 ounces. We've resurrected the Stacks glass for this special tribute and we'll only be pouring them for our military and our teachers. Please remember that you must have your ID to get the discount.

Thought for the Day

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
